Peterborough caterer now offers tasty mini Dutch pancakes

New to the menu at The Fenland Roaster are our delicious mini Dutch pancakes. These work great with either savoury or sweet toppings and fillings. It’s a brilliant option as part of a breakfast, brunch or light lunch.

Dutch mini pancakes (known as poffertjes in Holland) are a traditional treat often served with just some butter and a sprinkling of icing sugar. But we like to jazz then up with all kinds of toppings.

As a savoury dish, we top them with tomatoes, bacon and melted cheese. This is a quirky alternative to a bacon bap or full English, and also works well as part of a breakfast buffet. Meanwhile, as a dessert option we serve the pancakes with ice cream and fresh seasonal fruit, but almost any topping of your favourite sweet treats will be tasty.
